Hi!

My name is Mike Jones and I have been working for a Cisco Gold partner for over 7 years dedicated to designing, implementing and supporting almost the entire range of Cisco products across hundreds of different client networks. I created this site when I realised that I was not achieving a deep technical understanding of the technologies that I was working with despite progressing through multiple Cisco certification programs.

As network engineers, most of us are expected to maintain a wide breadth of knowledge to be able to design, deploy and troubleshoot multiple products, platforms and services. Cisco certification and other documentation does provide this to an extent but often lacks the low-level technical information called on when we are looking to automate custom tasks, understand a specific packet or signalling flow, manually create reports from a Cisco SQL database not accessible via the provided GUI etc.

On top of the low-level I hope to provide detailed high-level information which cuts through the sales fluff and provides the raw information that engineers are looking for.
